Ensign 450-19 B5 tire

One of Dunlop's most popular cross-ply tire designs, the B5 became the default choice for many British saloons and sports cars from the 1930s into the post-war period. As such, it remained in production for the vintage car market until Fort Dunlop's final closure in the 21st century! Its distinctive tread pattern and square shoulder make it easily recognizable. Ensign developed a B5 pattern replacement tire through its historic relationship with Dunlop and using original molds. The result is manufactured in the UK as the Ensign B5 and comes in various sizes to suit 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch wheels. This Ensign B5 size 450-19 is an ideal tire for MG T-series cars which originally took this tire size. The Dunlop B5 was original equipment for the TC version for example. It also fits various other cars, such as the; Riley 9 and Brooklands, MG Midget and Magna, Lea Francis 1.5 liter, Lagonda Rapier, Bugatti 35, 37 and 40, and various Frazer-Nash models from the 1930s, BMW 328, Fiat 509 and Salmson. Replaces 27x4.40, and is a tube type tire.
